Holy City story and sites

Death, Burial, & Resurrection

(Photo above of the entry into the Garden Tomb. The door has a sign that says “He is not here; He is risen”. The site is sometimes called “Gordon’s Calvary” after the man who first discovered it as a possible alternative site to the very orthodox Holy Sepulcher. It is next to a hill that looks like a skull. It perhaps gives a better picture of what the rich man’s garden where Jesus was buried would have looked like, since it is not loaded down with religious trappings.)
