***"Micah of Moresheth prophesied...
'ZION...PLOWED LIKE A FIELD,
JERUSALEM...A HEAP OF RUBBLE,
THE TEMPLE HILL A MOUND OVER GROWN WITH THICKETS'

How Man Worshiped God in This Time of the 1st Destruction
(Picture above: Daniel prayed three times a day from his place of captivity in Babylon, facing in the direction of Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem, many, many miles away.)
During this time, the MORIAH HILL was:
*what Micah, the prophet (as recorded by Jeremiah), had described to Jerusalem as to how it would look after its destruction by the Assyrian invaders, if it did not repent. Because his word was heeded by King Hezekiah, the Assyrian siege was not able to take the city, but later, Babylon was able to do what Assyria was not. It was then that Micah's description applied (quoted above),
*what Daniel, the prophet, taken in the exile to Babylon after the destruction of the 1st Temple, Jerusalem, and the land of Israel which then lay in desolation, prayed in the direction of. Daniel knew from the prophecies of Jeremiah that the exile from the land would last 70 years, and he knew from the prophecies of Isaiah that a man named Cyrus would be the one to liberate them.
