MT. ARARAT

Where Noah’s Ark Landed

Tigris River

Euphrates River

God saw that the whole earth was turning wicked. He had to allow a great flood to come upon the earth to wash away the bad things people were doing.

But God had a man, named NOAH, who, because He trusted God to provide salvation, loved God and loved his neighbor. That trust made him righteous in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah & the Flood

Prophet-Pieces of the End-Time Puzzle:

***(C-Second Coming) Mt. 24:37-39 “AS IT WAS IN THE DAY OF NOAH, SO IT WILL BE AT THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN. For in the days before the flood, people were EATING AND DRINKING, MARRYING AND GIVING IN MARRIAGE, UP TO THE DAY Noah entered the ark; AND THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man”.***

THE TWO STAGES OF THE SECOND COMING:

[And the two people-groups of each stage]

(1) The “catching away” of the church saints

(John 14:2-3, 1 Cor.15:51-52, 1 Thess. 4:2-3)

Before the Tribulation, Jesus will descend for the “catching away”of His  saints who came to faith during the church age, whether living or dead.

The church age has been for the last nearly 2000 years and has been a time of a great reaping of tens of thousands who have received God’s free gift of eternal life in His Presence. Those who are “dead” are separated from their bodies, but “they” - that is, their spirits - have been with Jesus in the heavenly New Jerusalem from the time of that separation. The Scriptures describe their bodies as merely “asleep” in the grave, but they themselves have not been asleep, but very much alive, enjoying the place that Jesus said He would prepare for them in Heaven. These will receive their resurrection bodies first; then church saints who are alive will receive theirs, all in the twinkling of an eye.

   (a) The world, at that time, will be “eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day” of this first stage of the LORD’s return and will be taken by surprise. They will not see the LORD; only the rapturing saints will see Him as they ascend to Him. What the world will see is the worldwide disappearance of tens of thousands of born-again people, which will totally take them by surprise. They will invent every kind of false reason for the disappearance, because of their willful refusal to acknowledge God.

   (b) The church saints are admonished to not be taken by surprise; they should be up on the “inside information” they have in Bible prophecy. They should not be part of the group that “knew nothing about what would happen”. They are expected by the LORD to know their Bible and be able to recognize the signs of the season. Unfortunately, many church leaders and congregations prefer to avoid prophecy, which is a very great part of the Bible to ignore.

(2) The “Day of the LORD” and the “gathering” of the Tribulation saints

(Matt. 24:31, Isaiah 11:16, 19:23-24, 27:12-13, 35)

   (a) The second stage will be at the end of the Tribulation, on the “Day of the LORD”. Once again, the world, the people who have taken the mark of the beast and are enjoying a false peace, will be “eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day”. This time, the whole world will see the LORD in His Glorious Appearing in the Sky.

    (b) However, the Tribulation saints, [Jew and Gentile, who will have come to faith during the Tribulation], once again, should not be caught by surprise, because they will have “inside information” [the Bible]. They likely will be counting down from the time of the appearance of the Abomination of Desolation on the Temple Mount, knowing from the prophets that there will be exactly three and one-half years left of the Tribulation, and then there will be the LORD’s return. That knowledge will surely give them the strength by which they will endure.

EXAMPLES FOR US:

We learn from the Noah story that:

(1) God delivers His people, either from the trouble or through the trouble. Let Him find us resting in that confidence, no matter what comes on the earth.

(2) Although the saints do not know the day or hour the LORD is coming, they are expected to know the signs of His return. Those signs can only be identified by knowing the prophetic part of the Bible. Let Him find us expecting, watching, and not too busy with the things of this life, but rather serving Him with the body of Christ.

Time-That-Was of Noah & the Flood

***Location: Turkey - Mt. Ararat (Gen.8:4)***

NOAH was an Old Testament-saint who was trusting in a future redemption, even though he didn’t fully understand how God would accomplish it; therefore; we see

Noah looking FORWARD to the CROSS >        < & us looking BACK at the CROSS

and trusting God for our salvation. Noah will be raised in the end-time with the other Old Testament-saints (Job 19:25-27) and will be a guest at the marriage supper of the LORD held for His bride, the church.

God saved Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their three wives by telling him how to build an ark [a huge house-boat].

GOD’S REDEMPTION PICTURE

[Noah’s Ark]

“GOD DELIVERS HIS PEOPLE

THROUGH

JESUS, THE VESSEL OF OUR SALVATION”

In a great miracle, God sent animals to Noah to gather and load on the boat. Noah loaded seven of every clean animal and two of every unclean animal ["scavengers": God's animal-garbage-collectors].

After the flood, the ark came to rest on the mountain top of Mt. Ararat in the area of modern-day Turkey, in the region of Armenia. [The hats of the Armenian Christian priests, including those who live in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, are shaped with a point to look like Mt. Ararat.]

God made Noah a promise - that He would never again let a worldwide flood happen, and He set the rainbow in the sky to remind us always of His promise.
